published in Paris by Hyacinthe Langlois (fl.c.1800–1852) in 1811 as Plate 1 to the seventh edition
of William Guthrie’s (1708–1770) “Abridged Version of the New Universal
Geography, Physical, Political and Historical” (Abrégé de la Nouvelle Géographie
Universelle, Physique, Politique et Historique de William Guthrie”).

fine laid paper with flattened gatefold of publication and backed with a
support sheet.

22.6 x 34.3 cm; (image borderline) 18.7 x 31.6 cm.
Numbered and lettered
in plate above the image borderline: (left) “I.”; (centre) “SYSTÈMES DU MONDE.”
