before lettering for publication in Paris in the art
periodical, “L'Art”, with François Liénard (fl.c.1860s–1880s) as the
printer.
Etching on chine collé on heavy wove paper with wide margins.
Size: (sheet) 42.9 x 29.2 cm; (plate) 28.8 x 22.2 cm (chine collé) 27.8 x 21 cm; (image borderline) 25.9 x 18.9 cm.
Lettered in plate below the image borderline: (left) “N. Dias. pinx.”; (centre)

Condition: a richly inked and well-printed (near faultless) impression
with generously wide margins in an excellent condition with no tears, holes,
folds, abrasions or significant stains.
