Engraving on laid paper trimmed close to the image borderline with the artist’s monogram “L” at lower left next to the saint's right foot.

 The British Museum offers the following description of this print:
“St James the Greater; facing left, holding a pilgrim's staff with a sack attached at top in his right hand and a wide-brimmed hat in his right. c.1510 Engraving” (http://www.britishmuseum.org/research/collection_online/collection_object_details.aspx?objectId=1336948&partId=1&searchText=Lucas+van+Leyden+James&page=1)

Condition: crisp impression trimmed to the image borderline. The sheet is dusty and age-toned with a backed small tear, small thin places and traces of mounting (verso).
