Bloemaert (aka Abraham Bloemaart) (1564–1651).
Engraving
printed with a warm black ink on fine laid paper, trimmed along the image
borderline (with loss of text lines below the image) and backed with a support
sheet.

Condition:
richly inked impression, trimmed around the image borderline with small restored
tears and losses. The sheet shows age-toning (darkening) and is laid upon an
archival support sheet of millennium quality washi paper.

this theatrically composed engraving sparkling with strong tonal contrasts for
