signed in an edition of 100 impressions (inscribed in pencil).
Etching
with plate tone printed in dark brown (umber) ink on fine laid paper with watermark,
signed in pencil with edition number and backed with a support sheet.
Size:
(sheet) 18.8 x 22.1 cm; (plate) 13.2 x 19.5 cm.
Inscribed
on plate: (lower left corner) “25.8.1911”.
Inscribed
with pencil below the platemark: (left) “Hermann Struck”; (right) “6/100”.
Condition:
well-printed impression with rich plate tone in very good condition (i.e. there
are no tears, folds, abrasions, stains or foxing), but there are a few pencil
notations by previous collectors along the lower margin edge. The sheet is laid
onto a support of archival (millennium quality) washi paper.
I
am selling this moody landscape delicately etched with different qualities of
line ranging from crisp, multi-angled strokes in the foreground to crumbly
indistinct marks in the far distance, for a total cost of AU$310 (currently US$211.01/EUR190.59/GBP162.88
at the time of this listing) including postage and handling to anywhere in the
world.
