Frederic Leighton (aka Frederic Leighton, 1st Baron Leighton; Leighton of Stretton) (1830–1896)
“Pastorale”, 1867, after the artist’s painting of the same composition exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1867 (see https://www.pubhist.com/w30126 & http://www.victorianweb.org/painting/leighton/paintings/3.html ), published in Paris by the Gazette des Beaux-Arts, printed by Auguste Delâtre (aka Auguste Marie Delâtre) (1822–1907).
Etching with pale plate tone on fine cream-coloured laid paper with full margins as issued.
Size: (sheet) 26.4 x 17.7 cm; (plate) 19 x 10.4 cm; (image borderline) 16.1 x 8.1 cm.
Initialled on plate within the image borderline: (lower left corner) “FL”.
Lettered on plate below the image borderline: (left) “Frédéric Leighton, pinx. & sculp./ Gazette de Beaux-Arts.”; (centre) “PASTORALE”; (right) “Royal Académy 1867./ Imp. Delâtre, Paris”

Condition: well-printed (near faultless) museum-quality impression with generous margins in pristine condition (i.e. there are no tears, holes, folds, abrasions, stains, foxing or signs of use).
I am selling this exceptionally rare etching—I have been unsuccessful in finding a copy of this original etching executed by the hand of Leighton in any of the major art museums—for the total cost of AU$427 (currently US$292.29/EUR262.50/GBP223.24 at the time of this listing) including postage and handling to anywhere in the world (but not, of course, any import duties/taxes imposed by some countries).
