Etching with dot roulette on chine collé on wove paper with full margins as published.
Size: (sheet) 39.6 x 27.4 cm; (plate) 21.4 x 16.2 cm; (image borderline) 19.9 x 14.4 cm.
Inscribed on plate within the image borderline at lower left, “A.C.”
Inscribed on plate below the image borderline at lower left: “Genve 1845.”

Calabi & Schreiber-Favre 1937 34 (III) (Augusto Calabi & Alfred Schreiber-Favre 1937, “Les Eaux-Fortes et les lithographies d'Alexandre Calame, Die Graphischen Künste”, pp. 64–77, 110–117).

The British Museum offers the following description of this print:
“Two figures in the shade of a large tree which is growing on a cliff; sea in the distance to right.”

Condition: faultless impression in near pristine condition for its considerable age (i.e. there are no tears, holes, folds, abrasions, significant stains—there is a dot in the right margin—foxing or signs of use) with full margins as published.
