Engraving on fine laid paper trimmed around the platemark and backed with a support sheet.
Size: (sheet) 12.9 x 9.8 cm; (image borderline) 12.6 x 9.5 cm.
Inscribed at lower centre with a blank tablet as Marcantonio Raimondi’s symbol, rather than his monogram, “MAF”.
State i (of iii) before numbering.

“St Veronica standing in the centre holding the Sudarium with the impression of Christ's face, flanking her are St Peter and St Paul”

Condition: richly inked, superb, first state (lifetime) impression, trimmed along the platemark and laid onto a support sheet of millennium quality washi paper.
I am selling this small and stunningly rich engraving by one of the most famous of the early Italian printmakers—and, interestingly, one of the first to be litigated against for breach of copyright after copying Dürer’s prints—for the total cost of AU$638 (currently US$388.34/EUR351.64/GBP317.43 at the time of this listing) including postage and handling to anywhere in the world (but not, of course, any import duties/taxes imposed by some countries).
