ink—by Jacques
François Chereau (1742–1794) in “Principes d'ornemens: contenant les premières esquisses,
fleurons, chapiteaux, modillons, frises, vases et autres parties d'architecture”
(see the account of this publication offered by the Metropolitan Museum of Art:
https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/712263 and a later edition published by Joubert
and printed in black ink available for online viewing/downloading offered by
archive.org: https://archive.org/details/gri_33125010924575/page/n35/mode/2up).
