Aquafortistes’ “Eaux-Fortes Modernes: Originales et Inédites” (1864), as plate
91 of sixty-three plates (beginning at plate 61 following plates 1–60 of volume
I), printed by Auguste Delâtre (aka Auguste Marie Delâtre) (1822–1907)
in Paris.
Etching printed in a warm black ink of fine
wove paper.

Condition: a richly inked and well-printed
impression in near pristine condition (i.e., there no tears, holes, folds,
abrasions, stains, foxing or signs of handling).
I am selling this strong and very beautiful
etching by the artist nicknamed, "le Raphael des moutons" [the
Raphael of the sheep], who, together with Charles Jacque, was the most highly
regarded artist specialising in images of sheep in the nineteenth century, for
AU$288 in total (currently US$205.60/EUR181.13/GBP151.55 at the time of posting
this listing) including postage and handling to anywhere in the world, but not
(of course) any import duties/taxes imposed by some countries.
