after the design by Maarten de Vos (aka
Maarten de Vos; Maerten de Vos) (1532–1603).

Condition: a strong
impression with restored printer’s creases and replenished gaps in the lower margin,
laid upon an archival support sheet of millennium quality washi paper providing
wide margins.
I am selling
this beautiful engraving showing the personification of evening symbolised by
the Roman goddess of the moon, Luna, with the representation of evening activities
in the early 1600s (such as returning home from church and merry-making)—for
the total cost of AU$312 (currently US$202.73/EUR204.70/GBP179.01 at the time
of this listing) including postage and handling to anywhere in the world, but
not (of course) any import duties/taxes imposed by some countries.
