A. Maglin (fl.1891–1905; Lugt 1777; see https://www.getty.edu/art/collection/person/1051V7 & https://www.nga.gov/collection/provenance-info.52810.html), with his name inscribed in ink verso with the date, “1902”.

The Rijksmuseum and The National Gallery of Art offer descriptions of this print: http://hdl.handle.net/10934/RM0001.COLLECT.120385; https://www.nga.gov/collection/art-object-page.210717.html. See also another print by Von Hagedorn that I have previously listed: http://www.printsandprinciples.com/2021/02/christian-ludwig-von-hagedorns-etching.html.

Condition: a well-printed impression with adequately wide margins. Beyond pale staining, the sheet is in a good condition with no tears, holes, folds, abrasions or losses. The verso has an ink inscription identifying a known former collector and date (“F A Maglin 1902” [Lugt 1777]).

I am selling this small etching for AU$223 in total (currently US$154.04/EUR143.24/GBP126.63 at the time of posting this listing) including postage and handling to anywhere in the world, but not (of course) any import duties/taxes imposed by some countries.

If you are interested in purchasing this lightly executed study made from direct observation—as expressed by the inscribed Latin term at lower left, “ad viv[ium]”—please contact me (oz_jim@printsandprinciples.com) and I will send you a PayPal invoice to make the payment easy.
