“Horses in Pasture”, c.1740, plate 26 from the series of 69 plates, "Horsemen, Horses and Battles" (Ruiters, Paarden en Veldslagen), published by Johann Christian Rugendas in Augsburg, after a painting of the same composition executed in 1705 by his father, Georg Philipp Rugendas I (1666–1742), possibly showing a scene in Augusto, Turkey.

trimmed with a narrow margin around the platemark and backed with a support
sheet.

Condition:
a strong and well-printed impression with a small margin around the platemark
and laid onto a support of archival (millennium quality) washi paper providing
wide margins. Beyond minor surface marks outside the image borderline, the
sheet is in a good condition with no tears, holes, folds, abrasions,
significant stains or foxing.
