Jean Pierre Norblin de la Gourdaine (aka Jean Pierre Norblin de la Gordaine) (1745–1830)

“Landscape with Village” (ala “Gezicht op boerenerf en dorp”; “Le Village”), 1778.

Etching on fine Japan paper with narrow margins around the platemark and backed with a support sheet.

Size: (sheet) 6.7 x 11.8 cm; (plate) 6.5 x 11.6 cm.

Inscribed in plate: (upper left) “Norblin fecit xbris 1778”.

Condition: a richly inked and well-printed impression with narrow margins laid onto a support of archival (millennium quality) washi paper providing wide margins. The sheet is in an excellent/museum quality condition with no tears, holes, folds, abrasions or significant stains.

I am selling this small treasure of a landscape etching by one of the most important artists of the Enlightenment in Poland for AU$302 (currently US$203.86/EUR182.70/GBP155.73 at the time of posting this print) including Express Mail (EMS) postage and handling to anywhere in the world, but not (of course) any import duties/taxes imposed by some countries. Note that payment is in Australian dollars (AU$302) as this is my currency.
